  1. 1Candidate does a standard mock discovery or demo role play (20 min)
  2. 2Immediately after, interviewer asks: "How did that go? Walk me through what worked and what didn't."
  3. 3Candidate self-assesses for 5-10 minutes
  4. 4Interviewer then shares their feedback

What to look for

  • Green flag: Candidate identifies the same issues the interviewer noticed
  • Red flag: "I think it went great!" when it clearly didn't
  • Best signal: Candidate identifies something the interviewer DIDN'T catch
  • Self-criticism without self-deprecation (balance matters)
